Canada Border Services Agency investigates dumping of concrete reinforcing bars from Bulgaria, Thailand, and UAE, following a complaint by AltaSteel et al.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is investigating alleged dumping of concrete reinforcing bars from Bulgaria, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates. The investigation follows a complaint filed by AltaSteel Inc., ArcelorMittal Long Products Canada, Gerdau Ameristeel Corporation, and supported by Max Aicher North America Ltd and Ivaco Rolling Mills 2004 LP. The complainants allege that an increase in dumped imports has caused them to suffer material injury including lost market share and sales.
