The Church of England asks Reverend Sue Colman to step back over her ties to convicted abuser John Smyth.

The Church of England has asked Reverend Sue Colman and her husband, Sir Jamie Colman, heir to Colman's mustard, to step back from their church roles after an independent review found they likely knew of John Smyth's abuse. The couple visited and funded Smyth in Africa in the 1990s, despite knowing about his abuse of over 130 boys and young men over five decades. The Diocese of Winchester is working with the National Safeguarding Team to manage the risks.
