Venezuela's ex-oil minister Pedro Tellechea arrested for allegedly collaborating with US to undermine oil sector.

Venezuela's Attorney General, Tarek William Saab, announced the arrest of former oil minister Pedro Tellechea, accusing him of collaborating with the U.S. to undermine the oil sector. Tellechea allegedly transferred the automated control system of state-owned PDVSA to a U.S. firm, violating national sovereignty. No evidence was presented, and Tellechea was replaced in August by a close ally of President Nicolás Maduro amid ongoing turmoil in the Venezuelan energy industry.
