Māori leader Tureiti Moxon receives University of Waikato Honorary Doctorate for 30 years of service to Māori health.

Lady Tureiti Moxon, a distinguished Māori leader, has received the University of Waikato's Honorary Doctorate for her 30 years of dedication to Māori health and wellbeing. As Chair of the National Urban Māori Authority and Managing Director of Te Kōhao Health, she has been a strong advocate for Māori self-determination and has worked on significant health initiatives. Recently, she was also awarded the "Woman of the Biennium Award" by Zonta International.
