Professor Sir Collin Tukuitonga becomes one of two global experts focusing on Pacific and Māori health equity.

Sir Collin Tukuitonga, a Niuean-descent professor at the University of Auckland, has become one of only two such professors globally. With a career spanning over 45 years, Tukuitonga has focused on addressing health inequities for Pacific and Māori people, holding roles such as chief executive of the New Zealand Ministry of Pacific Affairs and director of public health. He has made significant contributions to global health, including developing a WHO strategy to improve diet and physical activity.
