On March 10, a three-month-old infant in Hazel Green, Alabama, was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead. A toxicology report revealed the child died from a lethal dose of methamphetamine. The father, Sonny Summers Jr., was charged with chemical endangerment of a child resulting in death. He was arrested on March 16 and released on a $20,000 bond. Authorities allege he used meth while caring for the infant.
