The George Gordon First Nation in Saskatchewan has identified eight more potential unmarked graves near the former Gordon's Indian Residential School, raising the total to 22 anomalies. This search, initiated in 2021, aims to uncover the graves of students who died at the school, which operated until 1996. The findings highlight the need for acknowledgment and healing from the historical mistreatment of First Nations students in residential schools. Phase 3 is planned to expand the search area.
