Potential unmarked graves found at former Lejac Indian Residential School in Canada.

The Nadleh Whut'en First Nation in British Columbia has found potential unmarked graves at the former Lejac Indian Residential School site, which operated from 1922 to 1976. Using ground-penetrating radar and magnetometry, 23 potential burial sites were identified, though none have been confirmed. This discovery follows similar findings at other residential schools in Canada and is part of ongoing efforts to find and honor children who died at these institutions. The federal government plans to fund further research, which could take up to 20 years.
