CIMC Enric and Angang Steel have launched a joint project, Angang CIMC, to convert coke oven gas into hydrogen and liquefied natural gas (LNG). This initiative supports China's dual carbon strategy, aiming to cut annual emissions by 470,000 tons of CO2, 174 tons of sulfur dioxide, and 1,344 tons of nitrogen oxides. The project will produce 15,000 tons of blue hydrogen annually and incorporates digital technologies for a comprehensive energy solution, promoting sustainable development in the steel industry.
