Poland plans to seek European Commission approval for financing its nuclear program, aiming to complete its first nuclear power plant unit by 2035. Maciej Bando, the deputy climate minister, noted that actual reactor operation may be delayed by several months. The project, to be built by Westinghouse Electric on the Baltic coast, will involve three reactors and is expected to be financed with state guarantees, ensuring competitive electricity prices.
