Czech government to build 4 nuclear reactors to boost energy independence, reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

The Czech government plans to build up to four nuclear reactors instead of one as the country looks to become more energy independent while reducing reliance on fossil fuels. This decision could potentially reduce the price per reactor by up to 25%; however, the timing and locations have not been determined yet. The companies that originally submitted bids to build the first reactor at the Dukovany nuclear power station include Westinghouse, EDF, and KHNP. As part of their bids, these companies also submitted unbinding offers to construct three additional nuclear reactors.
