Romania's Nuclearelectrica seeks RON 814mn loan for Cernavoda 3 & 4 reactors modernization.

Romania's state-owned Nuclearelectrica plans to convene shareholders for a loan of RON 814mn to its EnergoNuclear subsidiary for Cernavoda 3 & 4 reactors, aiming to modernize national nuclear energy infrastructure. The project, expected to cost over $7bn, involves completing the two new units by the next decade. Previous small modular reactors project with US NuScale failed to secure government approval.
