Gary Ridgway, the Green River Killer, was transferred to King County Jail in Seattle from Walla Walla State Prison on September 9. The reason for his transfer remains undisclosed but may relate to another murder investigation. Ridgway is serving 49 life sentences for murdering women, mainly vulnerable individuals, between 1982 and 1998. His cooperation with authorities has aided in identifying some victims, with potential links to a total of 65-70 murders.
