Former Minneapolis police officer Thomas Lane, convicted for his role in George Floyd's murder, has completed his 2.5-year federal prison sentence. He remains in a federal prison in Colorado awaiting transfer to Minnesota Department of Corrections to serve his state sentence for aiding manslaughter. Lane's state sentence is set to end on Aug. 20, with a year of supervised release to follow.
