Ancient pterosaurs had diverse flight styles revealed by fossils from Jordan.
A study published in the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology reveals that ancient pterosaurs, which soared during the age of dinosaurs, had diverse flight styles. Fossils from 66 to 72 million years ago, discovered in Jordan, show one species, Inabtanin alarabia, had wing structures like modern birds, while another, Arambourgiania, resembled vulture bones. These findings enhance understanding of their behaviors and evolutionary adaptations in flight.
