3.75m wingspan Jurassic pterosaur "Abfab" fossil discovered in Abingdon-on-Thames, UK.
A giant flying reptile from the Jurassic period, known as "Abfab," has been found in a gravel pit in Abingdon-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, UK. The fossilized wing bone, discovered in June 2022, belongs to one of the largest pterosaurs ever found from the Jurassic era with a wingspan of 3.75 meters. This fossil is one of the first records of this type of pterosaur from the Jurassic period in the United Kingdom.
