Michigan State University's Board of Trustees has authorized a new 200,000-square-foot Plant and Environmental Sciences Building, set to begin construction in fall 2024 and finish by December 2026. With a budget of $200 million, the facility will support around 40 principal investigators and feature advanced labs, including a rooftop phytotron and microscopy center. This project aims to enhance research on food security and align with MSU's 2030 Strategic Plan.
