The USDA has opened a new facility in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska, known as the 2 Landmark Centre, which houses the National Soil Survey Center and the National Design, Construction, and Soil Mechanics Center. The facility aims to enhance collaboration in soil science and conservation, supported by $19.5 billion from the Inflation Reduction Act. It also features a memorial library dedicated to Dr. Luis Tupas, honoring his contributions to soil science.
