Singaporeans increasingly use unlicensed cross-border chauffeured services to travel to Johor Bahru, Malaysia, drawn by convenience and lower costs. These services are illegal, with only LTA-approved and Malaysian taxis permitted for such rides. The Land Transport Authority has apprehended 32 drivers in the past two years, imposing fines and vehicle seizures. Authorized pick-up and drop-off points are Ban San Street Terminal in Rochor and Johor Larkin Terminal.
