Singapore LTA catches 12 drivers offering illegal cross-border rides from Changi Airport.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore apprehended 12 drivers at Changi Airport on December 18 for offering unauthorized chauffeur services between Singapore and Malaysia without the necessary Public Service Vehicle Licence (PSVL). Their foreign-registered vehicles were seized. The LTA warned against using these services due to safety risks and lack of insurance. Penalties for illegal services include fines, jail time, or vehicle forfeiture. Only licensed taxis from both countries, with additional permits for Malaysian taxis, can legally provide cross-border rides.
