100 NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) volunteers on the Far South Coast were honored with the presentation of National Emergency Medals, National Medals, and Long Service Medals at Batemans Bay Soldiers Club and Bega Civic Centre. Deputy Commissioner Peter McKechnie led the ceremonies, acknowledging volunteers for their professionalism and commitment to saving lives and protecting property. Notably, 72-year veteran Les Preston was recognized for his longstanding service.
