Arizona and Montana voters decide on abortion rights constitutional amendments in November.

Ahead of the November elections, voters in Arizona and Montana will decide on constitutional amendments to protect the right to abortion in their state constitutions. The Arizona Supreme Court ruled that a summary promoting a ballot measure is valid, allowing the issue to remain on the ballot. Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen certified Montana's constitutional initiative for the November ballot. If approved, both measures will allow abortions later in pregnancy if needed to protect the mother's life or health.
