Arizona Supreme Court allows Proposition 139, abortion-rights measure, to remain on ballot.

The Arizona Supreme Court rejected a lawsuit by Arizona Right to Life that sought to block the ballot measure, Proposition 139, which would enshrine the right to abortion in the state constitution. The court ruled that the proposition will remain on the ballot, requiring a simple majority to pass. If successful, the proposition would amend the state constitution to guarantee the right to an abortion up to fetal viability (around 23-24 weeks of gestation), with exceptions to protect the life of the mother.
