Bangladesh's High Court challenges the legality of the 15th Amendment abolishing caretaker government and increasing women's reserved seats.

Bangladesh's High Court has issued a rule challenging the legality of the 15th Amendment, which abolished the caretaker government system and increased reserved seats for women in Parliament. The court asked the government to respond within eight weeks on the petition filed by five citizens, including prominent activist Badiul Alam Majumdar. The amendment was passed in 2011 and included recognizing Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as the Father of the Nation.
