Bangladesh's Supreme Court maintains 2018 quota system for freedom fighters' children in government jobs.

The Appellate Division of Bangladesh's Supreme Court has upheld for now a High Court judgment that declared illegal the 2018 government circular abolishing the 30% quota system for freedom fighters' children in government jobs. The apex court instructed the state to file a leave to appeal petition after the release of the full text of the High Court judgment, and to keep the matter as "not today."
