1/3 of Australian students in lowest NAPLAN bands, disadvantaged students affected more, calls for fully funding public schools, supporting teachers, and exploring alternative teaching methods.

The University of Newcastle's Quality Teaching Model, which focuses on improving pedagogy rather than dictating specific teaching methods, is highlighted as a powerful alternative to enhance student learning experiences.
