A thrift store in Sidney, British Columbia was temporarily closed after an employee reported a historical military explosive device being dropped off. Police evacuated the area, and awaited assistance from Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt. Navy explosive experts determined the device to be a fake. Authorities thanked the Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt for their assistance and asked the public for their patience during the incident.
