AIB customers in France set a new record in July with 597,000 transactions, exceeding the previous record during the Rugby World Cup. In France, restaurant and grocery spending led, while in Ireland, hotel spending increased by 7% month-on-month and 4% year-on-year, offsetting a 10% decrease in pubs and off-licences and a 6% decrease in restaurants. Spending on electric vehicle charging increased by 8% monthly and 45% yearly. The 35-44 age group spent the most on hotels.
