Mission Memorial Hospital's ER implements temporary adaptations due to physician staffing challenges, with nurses providing support post-6pm.

Mission Memorial Hospital in Fraser Health has implemented temporary "service adaptations" in its emergency department from Aug 10, 6pm to Aug 11, 8am due to physician staffing challenges. All patients arriving by 6pm will be seen by an emergency physician, and post 6pm, emergency-trained nurses will support walk-in patients needing basic first aid, care re-direction, or urgent transfers to neighboring hospitals. Fraser Health has coordinated with B.C. Emergency Health Services to ensure patients needing high-level care are directed or transferred to appropriate hospital emergency services.
