21 Interior BC communities receive enhanced paramedic services as BC Emergency Health Services upgrades 24/7 full-time "alpha" model in ambulance stations for eight communities, including Alexis Creek, Clinton, Fruitvale, Logan Lake, Lumby, Midway, Rossland, and Salmo, as of April 1, 2024. Each station will have eight full-time positions, increasing the presence of paramedics threefold compared to the previous station-on-call model.
