Singapore Airlines resumed meal service during seat-belt times with pilot discretion, following turbulence incident review.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has resumed meal service on flights during seat-belt sign periods, 10 weeks after implementing stricter safety measures following a turbulence incident in May. The airline will now allow pilots to decide whether to suspend or continue meal service during turbulent times, while hot beverages, including soup, remain off-limits when seat belts are required. The changes come after SIA reviewed its turbulence management protocols following a fatal turbulence incident in May.
