Crowley receives the largest LNG bunker barge, Progress, for a long-term charter with Shell, expanding cleaner energy access at the Port of Savannah, Georgia.

Crowley has received the largest LNG bunker barge, Progress, in the Jones Act fleet from Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. At over 400 feet long, the Progress can carry 12,000 cubic meters of LNG and refuel LNG dual-fuel vessels. It is set to expand access to cleaner energy for ship operators at the Port of Savannah, Georgia, under a long-term charter to Shell. The barge features a transformative design that enables efficient and dependable supply of LNG, which is currently the lowest carbon fuel available to the shipping industry, emitting up to 23% less greenhouse gas emissions compared to very/ultra low sulfur fuel oil.
