Surf City, North Carolina was awarded over $300,000 for its Phase 4 project addressing roadway flooding. The N.C. Resilient Coastal Communities Program granted $331,535 for the installation of permeable pavers and roadside bioswales to improve stormwater infiltration and reduce flooding on Surf City streets. The town is one of five communities chosen for Phase 4 of a $6.21 million state initiative.
