Maine receives $21.2m in state resilience grants for coastal community storm recovery.

Maine received $21.2m in state resilience grants to help its coastal communities recover from back-to-back storms in January. The funds, awarded to 68 working waterfronts, will be used for urgent repairs and improvements to protect against future storm surges. The state's Working Waterfront Resilience Grant Program, part of a $60m investment in storm recovery, aims to make these areas more resilient to climate change impacts.
