Fisheries and Oceans Canada rescued entangled humpback whale Smoke off British Columbia's coast.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada has successfully untangled fishing gear from a humpback whale off British Columbia's coast, after a ferry passenger spotted the entangled mammal. The whale, named Smoke, was found off Texada Island with more than 50 meters of line and gear stuck in its mouth. A rescue team managed to free the whale after several hours of locating and untangling the gear.
