Chalmette High School Principal Wayne Warner is recovering from a serious attack and robbery in June, causing him to miss the start of the school year. Acting Principal Will Schneider, a 2003 Chalmette High School graduate and former teacher, has been appointed to temporarily lead the school while Warner is on medical leave. This is the first academic year in 57 years that Warner won't be present to welcome students.
