79-year-old Wayne Warner, the longest-serving principal in the U.S. at Chalmette High School in Louisiana, was attacked outside his home by a disabled man who was throwing trash cans. Warner sustained serious injuries, including a fractured hip and elbow, and will require surgery and extensive rehabilitation. The suspect, identified as Christopher Kid, was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including second-degree robbery and simple battery of the infirm.
