ESA plans to send Ramses spacecraft to study Earth's gravity impact on asteroid Apophis during its 2029 flyby.

The European Space Agency (ESA) plans to send its Ramses spacecraft to accompany asteroid Apophis during its close flyby of Earth in 2029. Apophis, a cruise liner-sized asteroid, will pass within 32,000 km of Earth, visible to the naked eye for around 2 billion people across Europe, Africa, and Asia. The spacecraft aims to study Earth's gravity impact on the asteroid and provide insights into asteroid defense strategies.
