5 asteroids, including 2024 UQ1 closest at 148,000 miles, approach Earth, none pose threat.

NASA is monitoring five asteroids approaching Earth, including the largest, Asteroid 2020 WG, which will pass about 2 million miles away. The closest, Asteroid 2024 UQ1, will come within 148,000 miles, closer than the moon. None of the asteroids pose a threat and will safely pass by, offering scientists a chance for study. They are not expected to be visible without a large telescope and dark skies.
