North Carolina's Medicaid expansion program has enrolled over 500,000 residents in just 7 months since its launch. Governor Roy Cooper and Health and Human Services Secretary Kody Kinsley praised the achievement, exceeding the initial target of enrolling 600,000 people over two years. The program began on December 1st and had already enrolled nearly 300,000 people within the first few weeks.
