Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas plans to visit Ireland and address Oireachtas after Ireland's recognition of Palestine.

Plans are in place for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to visit Ireland and address the Oireachtas after Ireland's formal recognition of Palestine earlier this year. Ceann Comhairle Séan Ó Fearghaíl has contacted the Palestinian Ambassador to explore the possibility of Abbas speaking in Dáil. Additionally, a visit by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is being considered. However, Ó Fearghaíl has ruled out inviting Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
