Pakistan's Chief Justice, Justice Qazi Faez Isa, denounced women being killed in the name of honour without adhering to Islamic laws. Speaking at a justice conference, he highlighted that in Islamic teachings, four witnesses are required to prove adultery, but women are still being killed without these conditions being met. He also addressed the disregard for social history within the Muslim community and condemned the misuse of honour killings in the name of dignity.
