The National Assembly approved a PPP-proposed amendment to increase lawmakers' allowances, raising travel allowance from Rs. 10 to Rs. 25 per kilometer, extending unused airline tickets to the next year, and increasing the number of annual travel vouchers to 30. The finance committee of respective houses will now be responsible for determining salaries and allowances for members of parliament.
