Tripura Assembly to introduce Bill providing retirement benefits to MLAs regardless of tenure, on 4th September.
Tripura Assembly Speaker, Biswa Bandhu Sen, announced that a Bill will be introduced in the three-day monsoon session starting 4th September, to amend the existing rule and provide retirement benefits to MLAs regardless of their tenure, even for those who serve for just one day. The session will also discuss rebuilding efforts and a special resolution on the recent devastating floods in Tripura.
