Children and teens with short sleep times may be at higher risk of high blood pressure, according to a new study published in Pediatrics. The research analyzed data from over 500 children and teens with hypertension and found an association between less sleep and high blood pressure. Although the study doesn't prove cause and effect, it suggests doctors should consider sleep when discussing hypertension with children and their parents.
