2008-charged ex-Crime Intelligence boss Mdluli's corruption trial set for October by Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.

Former Crime Intelligence boss Richard Mdluli's long-delayed corruption trial, originally charged in 2008, has finally been set for October by the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria. The trial will proceed regardless of Mdluli's pending application to have the South African Police Service (SAPS) pay for his legal fees. Mdluli and co-accused are charged with fraud, corruption, and theft for misusing the police slush fund between 2008 and 2012 for personal trips and uses.
