Former PA to Ace Magashule, Moroadi Cholota, extradited from US to SA for R255m asbestos corruption trial.

Moroadi Cholota, former personal assistant to Ace Magashule, has been extradited from the US to South Africa to face trial for her involvement in the R255m asbestos corruption case. Cholota, initially a state witness, was later charged after refusing to cooperate. The case alleges that high-ranking officials, including Magashule, received kickbacks from asbestos removal funds, with only R21m worth of work completed. Both Cholota and Magashule are now due to go on trial for fraud, corruption, money laundering and contravention of the Public Finance Management Act.
