A study by Vision Direct discovered high levels of bacteria including E.coli and Faecal Streptococci on London Underground tube lines. The Victoria line seats had 16,000 CFU of E.coli, while the Metropolitan line had traces of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Faecal Streptococci on seats and poles. These findings highlight potential health risks, such as contamination when applying makeup on the tube.
