Vicki Wood, a Tauranga volunteer with 25 years of service at Manaaki Tāngata Victim Support, received the King's Service Medal for helping crime and trauma victims. Alongside her full-time job, Wood volunteered 30 hours weekly for Victim Support’s 24/7 call-out service, offering emotional support and practical help. She has assisted around 50,000 victims across New Zealand annually.
