13 people were honored as members of the "Saved by the Belt" Club at a Buckle Up - Batter Up event in Ohio for benefitting from wearing seat belts in traffic accidents. The "Saved by the Belt" Club, a collaboration between the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Ohio State Highway Patrol, AAA, and the Toledo Mud Hens, aims to acknowledge individuals who have been saved from life-threatening injuries due to wearing safety belts.
